Our client, a leader in the industrial sector, is seeking a Weekend CNC Machinist to join their team. As a Weekend CNC Machinist, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a sense of urgency which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Weekend CNC Machinist

Location: Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $21.61

What's the Job?

• Safely and accurately operate a CNC machine to fabricate tubes, rods, and components.
• Utilize manual machines for fabrication tasks as required.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings for components, tubes, and rods, making necessary calculations.
• Employ quality control equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers to ensure product quality.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 2 years of CNC machinist experience and hands-on G-code programming knowledge .
• Ability to understand and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience using standard manual quality control equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Effective communication skills to interpret instructions and respond to management's direction.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and fractions.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and a sense of urgency in completing tasks.
