Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Product Manager to join our growing team, where you will play a critical role in shaping our data strategy and developing data products that support our mission of expanding access to mental healthcare. You will lead the charge in using data to improve patient outcomes, streamline operational workflows, and support business growth by ensuring that our data infrastructure and products are aligned with the needs of our patients, clinicians, and internal stakeholders.

About Talkiatry:

Talkiatry transforms psychiatry with accessible, human, and responsible care. We’re a national mental health practice co-founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist to solve the problems both groups face in accessing and providing the highest quality treatment.

60% of adults in the U.S. with a diagnosable mental illness go untreated every year because care is inaccessible, while 45% of clinicians are out of network with insurers because reimbursement rates are low, and paperwork is unduly burdensome.   With innovative technology and a human-centered philosophy, we provide patients with the care they need—and allow psychiatrists to focus on why they got into medicine.

You will:

  • Contribute to the development of a data-driven product vision and strategy to align with Talkiatry’s business goals, improving patient care, and operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, clinical teams, and other internal stakeholders to define data product priorities, roadmaps, and timelines.
  • Develop and prioritize data product roadmaps that continuously evolve our data platform, leveraging our cloud-based data warehouse (Snowflake) and tools (e.g., DBT, Airflow, etc.) to support decision-making, integrations, and data self-service.
  • Work with data engineers to ensure data solutions are robust, scalable, and high-quality.
  • Foster a metrics-driven culture by defining success metrics, driving the collection of relevant data, and encouraging continuous experimentation.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data platforms, machine learning, and healthcare data products.

You have:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with at least 3 years of experience working on data products or analytics platforms.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing data product roadmaps and working with cross-functional teams to deliver successful products.
  • A strong understanding of data infrastructure and analytics tools, such as cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift), data orchestration (Airflow, DBT), and data modeling.
  • Advanced SQL and experience with data modeling
  • Sound understanding of technical concepts (e.g., data pipelines, data engineering, and analytics frameworks), with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to think strategically about how data products can drive business value and improve patient care. You should be comfortable balancing long-term vision with short-term execution and managing a portfolio of product initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, compelling product documentation, presentations, and reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • An insatiable curiosity to learn and grow within the data product management space.

Why Talkiatry:

  • Top-notch team: we're a diverse, experienced group motivated to make a difference in mental health care
  • Collaborative environment: be part of building something from the ground up at a fast-paced startup
  • Flexible location: work where you want to, either remotely across the U.S. or from our HQ in NYC
