About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Estimating specializing in traffic control projects to lead our estimating team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traffic management estimation, with hands-on experience in creating accurate and competitive bids for traffic safety and control solutions. This role is vital in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with project timelines and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the estimating team for traffic control and management projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
• Develop comprehensive estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and traffic control plans.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to design effective traffic control strategies, including road closures, detours, and signage.
• Coordinate with the planning and scheduling team to align estimates with project timelines.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
• Serve as the primary client liaison during the bidding process, maintaining strong communication and relationships.
• Conduct site visits to ensure estimates reflect current conditions and assist in monitoring project budgets.
• Stay updated on traffic control regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance in all estimates.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering , Construction Management , or related field preferred.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience estimating traffic management projects, including road closures and traffic control plans.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams and overseeing estimating functions.
• Skills:
  • Expertise in traffic management regulations (e.g., TxDOT or municipal guidelines).
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HeavyBid, Excel) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications: Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) or Traffic Control Technician (TCT) certification preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
• Some travel required for client meetings and project evaluations.
• Flexibility in working hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
