About Our Facility

Our Taneytown, MD Pump Manufacturing facility spans over 150,000 square feet and is equipped for engineering, design, customer service, machining, assembly, and testing. Since opening in 1971, we have expanded four times to accommodate growth and innovation across various markets, including power, oil & gas, water resources, and more. Here, you’ll experience the entire project lifecycle under one roof!

Role Summary: Machinist

We are on the lookout for a skilled Machinist to join our team in Taneytown, MD. If you are proficient in setting up and operating manual lathes and have some exposure to CNC, we want to hear from you! Your expertise in the manufacturing environment will be crucial as you:

Key Responsibilities:

• Run castings on CNC machines.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while ensuring efficient and safe operation of all tooling and machinery.
• Accurately machine to within a +/- .001 tolerance and interpret prints with geometric tolerances.
• Safely operate machines, tooling, and measuring equipment.
• Utilize precision measuring equipment and work with both English and Metric systems.
• Handle large castings using jib and overhead cranes.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and complete required safety training.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience as a CNC Machinist/Programmer with knowledge of EdgeCAM or similar CAM software.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments like micrometers and dial indicators.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, geometric tolerances, and finishes.
• A team-oriented mindset and the ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift up to 50 lbs .
• High School Diploma/GED or relevant experience in lieu of education.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification or training related to machining.
• Experience in a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $21.66 - $32.55 USD Hourly .
